Solution Heat Treating of Aluminum is per AMS 2779.
Solution Heat Treating: Heating an alloy at an elevated suitable temperature for sufficient time to allow soluble constituents to enter into solid solution where they are retained in a supersaturated state after quenching.
Specialty Brazing equipment includes:
• (2) PVT Aluminum Vacuum Brazing Furnace - 24”x 76”x 44” inside dimensions, and 36”x 36”x 36” inside dimensions, 1200F max. temp., 7 heat zones with Stokes 412-71 vacuum pump, Varian diffusion pump
